GRAPHIC DESIGNER SUSANNE BONDROP


Susanne Bondrop: Trained danish graphic designer from the Graphic Art School, (DGH) Special Line (the current Danish School of Media and Journalism). One year of study at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, 'Visual Communication'.


Today:

Author, graphic designer and artist.

Book releases, digital illustrations og graphic design.

Have written and illustrated the childrens books ‘Mig og Mons’ and ‘Mig og Marley’.

Editor/layouter/photographer at The 'Russian Blue Klubben's membership magazine.


2015-2019: Susanne was headhuntet for the job as an art director for the daily newspaper BT - but since 2008-2015 she has been working as graphic designer at the daily newspaper Berlingske.


Awards: Susanne was in Vienna 2017 and 2018 to collect four awards, she recieved for covers and spreads designed for B.T. And during her time as art director for B.T. the graphic departement furthermore recieved five awards. When she was working for Berlingske she recieved eight awards for covers and spreads in the newspaper.


Creative director: Before Berlingske she had five years as creative director at the weekley magazine 'Family Journal', and before this she was employed ten years as a graphic visualizer at the newspaper BT. Besides working as a graphic designer, she finished as bachelor at the University of Copenhagen in 'Film and Media Studies' as well as written rhetoric and cultural journalism as a subsidiary subject.


Artistic education and exhibition: Alongside her various jobs, Susanne has studyed at the artists such as Ulrik Hoff and Allan Stabell, and have been represented at Gallery Arts Share from 2001-2006 and Lysberg Hansen & Therp from 2006-2008. Several companys have over the years benefited from Susanne's expressive and richly colored paintings - like Næsseslottet, Park and Gallery, Gallery Strandmark for solo exhibitions. Susanne has also previously been represented in several art fairs and the juried Art Festival in Kerteminde. In addition, she has even organized several exhibitions in North Zealand. Vienna: From 2017 until 2018 she was represented by Parks Gallery at various exhibition in Basel, Montreux and Vienna.


New York: From July 2014 until January 2016 she was represented by Agora Gallery at Manhattan, and was part of the collective exhibition 'Sensorial Realms' in December-January 2014-2015, where she sold a great part of her exhibited paintings. Today she is represented by Parks Gallery in Austria.


Artistic style: Susanne Bondrop is painting in a expressive and naturalistic manner, where the predominant source of inspiration is landscapes and motifs from other contries - whether inspiration can be found hiking in the nature of the island Bornholm or painting trips to the Azores, Italy or Cuba, the different impressions are mixed to a powerful and poetic colorfull experience that meet and mix on the White Canvas.
